Rabanne Invictus is one of the most-cloned fragrances in the world, and searching for a dupe produces a mess. The reason is simple and almost never explained: Invictus is not one fragrance. It is a line. The 2013 original, Invictus Aqua, Invictus Platinum, Invictus Victory and Invictus Parfum are separate compositions, and the clone houses have targeted them unevenly.
So a page that lists five bottles as "Invictus clones" without saying which Invictus is useless. This page says which. It also says plainly that the original is the least well-served of the family, which is not the answer anyone wants but is the honest one.
Which Invictus are you actually after?

If someone recommended "Invictus" to you without qualifying it, they almost certainly meant the 2013 original. Buy accordingly.
The honest finding
Of the three picks below, exactly one is aimed at the original. The other two are excellent bottles that target flankers, and we are including them because a lot of people arriving here actually want the fresher or sweeter version and do not know that is what they want.

Why the original is under-cloned
A reasonable question, given how popular Invictus is. The likely answer is the composition itself. The original leans hard on marine and ambergris materials to produce a clean, saline effect with very little sweetness, and that is a difficult thing to reproduce cheaply — the cost savings in budget fragrance come mostly from using sweeter, heavier materials that last longer and cost less. The result is that almost every "Invictus clone" drifts sweet.
